This video shows cats occupying all the beds while the mom wonders where to put her newborn baby to sleep. It’s both amusing and relatable. Just when she thinks she’s ready to put the baby to bed and walks into the room, she realizes that every single bed is taken; none are left empty. And who’s claimed them all? Her cats!

Mom tries to put baby to sleep but cats keep beds occupied

When there are cats and a newborn baby at home, a little chaos is inevitable, and this video captures it perfectly. It shows the cats occupying all the beds, leaving no space for the little one. The clip, which is making rounds online, was shared by @dontstopmeowing.

It begins with the mom walking into the room, holding her baby. She’s about to place the baby in a small bed when she notices a cat already casually sitting in it, completely unbothered by the situation.

She then heads to another room, thinking the next bed might be empty, but to her disappointment, it’s occupied by yet another cat. The mom looks at the feline disapprovingly, hoping it might give up the spot, but the kitty is clearly not ready to leave its cozy bed.

The video clearly shows how household dynamics shift when a baby arrives, especially with pets at home. Anyone with cats knows that “your” space is really shared space. Boundaries don’t truly exist in a cat’s world. Yet beneath the chaos, there’s something really sweet. These cats are like babies themselves, drawn to warmth and comfort. The beds are their cozy spots, and they’re simply enjoying the snug spaces that the newborn will soon need.

Viewers were clearly amused by the video and flooded the comments section with love and laughter. One user jokingly wrote, “Think u should buy more beds for your BABIES.” Another viewer said the mom is really “lucky” to have such a beautiful life and family.
