The exquisite Snowshoe sports a distinctive appearance, with white “boots” on the paws that inspired the name, along with an upside-down white “V” on the muzzle surrounded by a dark mask. Look into the blue eyes of a Snowshoe, and you’ll find a fun, friendly, affectionate buddy along with a beautiful purebred cat.
Many Snowshoe cat parents have shared their fabulous felines on Instagram with their own pages full of cat photos and reels, and I loved checking out these cat profiles and picking six of the most popular Instagram Snowshoes. Note that there are many more worthy Snowshoe accounts with smaller followings, and I may have missed a big one in the vast Instagram jungle. Check out these half dozen cats, then search for more social media stars!
1. Elsa

This gal has the purrfect name for a Snowshoe, with “Elsa” inspired by a lead character on the Disney Frozen movies. According to her Instagram page @snow.shoe.elsa, Elsa is a “rescued Snowshoe living my best life in PNW with my fluffy puppy Patriot,” and she has gathered more than 2K fans.
This beautiful masked lady cat from Oregon appears in more than 560 photos and reels, including this “Meowy Christmas” photo by a Christmas tree, this “Pretty Little Princess” picture with Elsa’s curious gaze, and this sweet photo of Elsa with her canine sidekick Scooter, who has since passed away. In this reel, Elsa plays with a Valentine’s Day balloon. Elsa has a big brother who is an orange tabby cat, but I am unsure of his name. Don’t they look so cute snuggling together?
Get to know Elsa online, and you won’t want to, in Frozen style, let it go!
2. Teddy

Teddy the Snowshoe’s profile at @teddysnowshoe starts out on the right paw with this oh-so-true statement: “Life is hard; cat videos make it better.” Teddy is a handsome Snowshoe who is obsessed with his sister: Toast, a “charred Siamese who loves to yap, make biscuits, and smother Teddy.” Teddy likes to chew on Toast’s ears.
The fun-loving Teddy has a mischievous streak and likes to pretend to nibble on plants in order to entice his human to feed him.
“He wants you to know that while he often looks derpy and forgets to close his mouth, he’s actually quite intelligent, and he’s never done anything wrong in his entire life.”
Teddy went viral with a reel showing his peculiar litter box shenanigan of pulling the nearby curtain into the box – yikes! Join this funny cat’s more than 8.5K followers, and you’ll get many laughs.

This amazing cat, described in her profile as a “chatty little Chou bun,” is a rescued Snowshoe with a huge number of followers: more than 64K at @tequilagram!
In a reel with the text “from foster to forever,” Chou’s human mom tells the story of how she acquired this Snowshoe and how she got her Tequila-themed Instagram handle. The woman in Bucharest, Romania saw a Facebook post about a Snowshoe that had a nose sore and was missing hair on her ears. Apparently, Chou was stressed from sharing a home with many other rescued cats, so her human mom adopted her from the rescue.
The woman already had another cat named Tequila and shared photos and reels on Tequila’s Instagram page. Chou was an instant hit, so she got her own Instagram page as an offshoot of her sibling.
We love what Chou’s mom wrote at the end of the post with Chou’s story: “So please, adopt, don’t shop! There are so many other babies like her looking for loving homes.” Yes, that includes many purebreds!

Yes, predator and prey struck up a friendship a few years ago and hang out every spring and summer, when Boo Jay appears. We also see photos and reels of the cross-eyed Boo hanging out with his sibling, a cute gray cat named Kia -.they both were adopted on the same day.

This stylish Snowshoe is so handsome, especially when Kato sports fashion accents like a bowtie or a festive scarf. Kato, according to his profile at @kato_the_snowshoe, is “serving all the C’s: Charm, Catitude, Curiosity & Cuteness on loop.” Aww, we’ll take it!
This male feline was born just before Christmas in 2024. In this adorable 1-year-old birthday reel, Kato says that he was “showered with a menu worthy of my status.” His Highness the birthday boy got shrimp on his birthday, and he now informs his fans that he will only accept premium toys and hand-peeled seafood from now on.

6. Baby Bean

Baby Bean, a youngster born early in 2024, offers this motto on his Instagram page at @babybeanpaws: “Mismatched socks forever.” Cute. Then, his profile states this challenge to visitors: “Catch my playful energy if you can. Chaos is a lifestyle!”
He shows his spunk by going crazy over a blade of cat grass. I coo at the sight of Baby Bean taking a catnap in this reel, and I wish I could lie down next to him and snuggle. Baby Bean sports a snazzy bowtie here and challenges the ladies to swipe right. And check out this adorable photo of Baby Bean as a so-stinking-cute kitten at 3 months old!
