Join experts, ob-gyn community members, and partners on January 23 at 1 p.m. ET for ACOG’s 2026 Maternal Health Awareness Day live webinar, Holding Ground on Maternal Health, featuring keynote speaker Ndidiamaka Amutah-Onukagha, PhD, MPH, and guest speaker Keith Reisinger-Kindle, DO, MPH, MS, FACOG. The webinar will open with a discussion between Dr. Reisinger-Kindle and moderator Christie Allen, MSN, RNC-NIC, CPHQ, C-ONQS, ACOG vice president of quality improvement and programs, about Dr. Reisinger-Kindle’s work to increase access to reproductive health care in Illinois as a response to the effects of the decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Dr. Amutah-Onukagha will then deliver a keynote speech about the need for community-led solutions to improve maternal health in the face of ongoing challenges.

Dr. Amutah-Onukagha is the Julia A. Okoro Professor of Black Maternal Health in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine and the founder and director of the Center for Black Maternal Health and Reproductive Justice and the Maternal Outcomes of Translational Health Equity Research Lab. She is also the founder of the largest conference on Black maternal health in the United States, which hosted participants from more than 46 states and 10 countries in its ninth year. An active scholar, Dr. Amutah-Onukagha investigates Black women’s experiences of maternal health disparities, infant mortality, reproductive justice, and women’s health. She serves as the inaugural dean of diversity, equity, and inclusion for Tufts University’s public health and professional degree programs.
