Cats usually get pegged as couch creatures. But now and then, one shows up who would clearly rather be outside by the water. Taylor Meadows is a photographer who travels all over Utah and beyond with her pets. While they were out camping, she noticed Cave doing something that made her stop and grab her phone.
He just sat there, staring at the lake, like he didn’t want to miss a second of it. The video from @mywildmeadows starts with a shot of someone cooking on a picnic table at their campsite. But then the camera pans over to show Cave sitting with his harness and leash on, looking totally stunned.

Cave looks completely settled out there. He is sitting in a sunny spot, and the view beyond him is incredible. The sky is bright blue, with soft white clouds scattered across it. In the video, the cat just stays still and enjoys the view. He watches the hills in the distance. “Isn’t that the sweetest thing? He was loving our camping trip and getting to watch the lake,” his mom wrote.
You don’t usually see a feline sit and watch a view like that. The location is actually the Interlakes campground in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. It’s up in Alberta. And once the camera shows the lake, it all makes sense. The water is clear, and the whole place looks breathtaking.
One person commented that he was clearly taking in all the sights and sounds. Another just said it was beautiful, and it really is. Most cats would be looking for a bug or a bird, but Cave looks like he is just enjoying the peace.
By the end of the clip, he gets some well-deserved head scratches from his mom. After sitting so nicely the whole time, he definitely deserved the pets. He didn’t even try to wander off. Over 5,700 people liked the post because it is just so relaxing to watch. It makes you want to pack a bag and head for the mountains yourself.
