And on Instagram, Sprinkle, a Siberian cat, knows how to star in one such drama. In a video from @sprinklethesiberian, the kitten puts on a full performance before breakfast, standing on the tile floor with her eyes wide and mouth open, squealing and screeching as if she has a massive complaint to register.

Initially, the video’s on-screen text labels the moment as “Before breakfast,” while the scene says, “feed me right now.” Then the clip cuts to “After breakfast,” and the drama immediately disappears as Sprinkle stretches out on the carpet with her fluffy paws spread, showing her in a deep, relaxing nap. It was the same kitten, but with a totally different vibe before and after breakfast.
The caption under the video jokes, “Beware of the hungry kitten ?.”
No wonder the transition is funny; it makes sense for felines, especially tiny ones. Kittens burn through energy fast, and they also learn routines faster than we expect — so when breakfast usually shows up at a certain time, they start asking for it the only way they know how, by being as loud as they can. But after they eat, that urgent energy drops and their belly feels full, paving the way for a little nap. In other words, Sprinkle is just a kitten who abides by her schedule.
