COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center has launched an emergency boarding program for dogs owned by residents seeking refuge in warming centers during the upcoming winter storm.
“Most warming centers do not take dogs because they are not prepared,” said Kaye Persinger, Director of the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center. “Anybody that needs to go to a warming center, you can bring your dog down to our shelter.”
The program, effective immediately, provides free boarding to ensure pets remain safe while their owners access critical resources.
