A video from Instagram user @spongecake_thescottishfold shows Buttercream the cat, who recently went sledding in Central Park. She was dressed for the occasion and serving a blank stare — and it’s hilarious. In the video, the Scottish Fold heads out into a snowy Central Park wearing a bright red outfit along with a matching little hat, and even the sled makes Buttercream look like he came prepared.

The video’s on-screen caption reads, “Buttercream’s first time sledding in Central Park,” and the clip starts with the cat perched on his dad’s shoulder. He then carefully climbs down into the sled. Meanwhile, his mom records the moment while giggling in the background, and Buttercream sits in place like a tiny passenger who did not ask for this adventure but will tolerate it anyway.

Once the sled starts moving, his expression never really changes. He just stares ahead with the same serious little face, as if he’s silently reviewing the experience, and also looks down at the snow. Buttercream seems confused, and it’s understandable. Still, the video’s caption couldn’t help but boast, “Buttercream did so well for a first-time sledder, right?”

Viewers gushed about the whole setup. One commenter wrote, “I love how he matches the sled.” Another chimed in with, “Adorable and what a great name!”. At the same time, others zeroed in on Buttercream’s solemn vibe while he cruised through the park. One viewer jokingly said, “Buttercream is not amused.”

For a first sledding trip down a Central Park hill, the cat looked like a pro in the video. Not only was he bundled up and safely seated, he let his humans enjoy the excitement, even if his face insisted he had better places to be. After all, a lot of cats would bolt the second their paws hit snow. Thus, Buttercream’s “fine, I guess” attitude feels like an absolute win in the end.
