MONDOVI, Wis. (WEAU) – The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office safely placed an individual into protective custody after a mental health crisis.
According to the sheriff’s office, it happened on West Main Street in the City of Mondovi. A person was reported to be with a knife, experiencing a mental health crisis.
Deputies from Buffalo and Pepin County responded to the scene. They were able to call the person and eventually safely placed the person into custody. No one was hurt in this incident.
While the response was ongoing, U.S. Highway 10 was temporarily shut down. The sheriff’s office said there was no threat to the public at any time.
