Huge Great Dane Checking on ‘The Littles’ at Doggy Day Care Is the Best Nanny

Some dogs were born to be faithful watchdogs, vigilant guardians, and loyal companions, but it becomes something straight out of a comedy when they take on a nanny role outside of the home, like at doggy day care.

Despite her size, one Great Dane named “Large Marge” loves going to day care, but not to play with dogs her own size. Her favorite part is peeking over the wall to make sure “the littles” are doing OK—and it’s the cutest thing ever!

Marge has decided she works at this facility, so she’s just doing her usual rounds with the small pups she wants to befriend so badly. She’s sweet, desperately wanting to be a part of their crew as if she doesn’t realize her gigantic size. Take a look!

Bless @houndstownwp in Winter Park, Florida, for sharing Large Marge with the world. I’m sure her parents are proud she’s such a friendly girl looking to make some pals (but not her own size, please and thank you)!

You can tell this Great Dane takes her unofficial role as “doggy day care nanny” seriously—particularly for the smallest pups in the place. Her funny way of keeping an eye on “the littles” shows why many have pleaded for her to be “an honorary little” for a day. That’s the content we want to see!

Forget playtime with dogs her own age or size, because checking on those itty-bitty babes is Marge’s main priority each and every time she visits. Someone, please, hire this girl to be a supervisor or something!

Here she is in a previous post doing what she does best—and it’s one of many showcasing how obsessed she is with dogs a fraction of her size.

    Great Danes Are Sweet-Natured Guardians

With gentle, tender hearts, Great Danes like “Large Marge” may look intimidating, but they’re really gentle giants with a world of love to give.

Called “the Apollo of dogs,” Great Danes are an easygoing breed known for their dignified, elegant, and stoic appearance, but inside, they’re alert, friendly, and courageous guardians who are patient with kids and natural people pleasers.

This is exactly why Marge makes for the most devoted puppy sitter! For the dedicated work Marge is doing, she really should be on this doggy day care’s payroll!
