A hilarious video circulating online shows one fearless feline proving that lesson the hard way, by immediately rebelling after her parents’ warning.
Cat climbs the curtain after mom and dad say no
Uploaded by @puurrfectpearl, the video begins with Pearl’s dad reminding her not to climb the curtains in their home. Her mom, who is filming, confidently defends the feline, saying she doesn’t believe Pearl will actually do it. Unbeknownst to her, Pearl is already hiding behind the curtain, quietly peeking out as if listening to the conversation unfold.
Moments later, Pearl makes her move and instantly proves her mom wrong. The cat launches herself onto the curtain and begins climbing upward, leaving her owner both shocked and amused. As she struggles to maintain her grip and nearly slips, her dad quickly steps in, lifting her down before she can fall.
That could have been the end of it, but Pearl isn’t finished. Once placed back on the floor, she playfully bites her dad’s foot and darts out of the room, as if sealing her rebellious statement. The video later cuts to Pearl sitting calmly in the bedroom again while her dad explains why climbing the blackout curtains isn’t allowed. He points out that they help block light while they sleep and could be damaged if she keeps scaling them. Pearl appears to listen attentively, sitting upright and staring up at him. However, her swishing tail suggests she may already be plotting her next move.
Toward the end of the clip, Pearl attempts one more dramatic leap toward the curtain, seemingly aiming to startle her mom again. This time, she misses, but the effort alone is enough to keep viewers entertained.
